Position Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the installation, upkeep, and repair of machinery, equipment, vehicles, and building systems at our distribution center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections of facilities to determine maintenance requirements and ensure prompt resolution of issues.
- Evaluate and test machinery and equipment to confirm operational efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
- Diagnose and repair various building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and structural components, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Manage repairs and maintenance of the physical infrastructure of Nice North America offices, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Assist with the relocation of office furniture and equipment, ensuring careful handling and organization.
- Respond swiftly to facilities-related emergencies to minimize disruptions and ensure safety.
- Follow established procedures for processing purchase orders and maintain accurate records for inventory management.
- Operate a sit-down forklift and/or pallet jack as required.
- Complete tasks in accordance with documented procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
- Uphold departmental policies and standards to maintain a structured maintenance operation.
- Comply with OSHA standards and complete necessary training.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance checks and maintain an organized workspace.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, or building maintenance is preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Understanding of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
- Ability to follow documented procedures and departmental guidelines.
- Capability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing various building systems and machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and tool usage skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with staff and documentation.
- Analytical skills to identify and resolve maintenance challenges efficiently.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to work with urgency.
- Proven multitasking abilities and goal-setting skills.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
