Role Overview:
The Technology Organization at Visa is a hub of innovators and problem solvers redefining commerce's future. We manage the world's most advanced processing networks, capable of executing over 65,000 secure transactions per second across 80 million merchants and 15,000 financial institutions.

As a Lead System Architect, you will spearhead the design and execution of projects within public cloud environments, particularly focusing on Microsoft Azure. Your expertise in specified technological domains will be essential, encompassing applicable processes, methodologies, standards, products, and frameworks.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and documenting architectural frameworks.
  • Capturing and articulating non-functional requirements.
  • Preparing estimates and outlining technical solutions.
  • Guiding project teams through end-to-end design and deployment activities.
  • Conducting reviews and addressing technical challenges.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with Operations, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Product Development teams to establish Hybrid cloud solutions that address technological, regulatory, security, and competitive challenges.

Key Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 7 years with an Advanced Degree, or 4 years with a PhD, or 13+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience with Azure, including the design and implementation of enterprise-level solutions.
  • Expertise in architecting and implementing public cloud landing zones for various applications.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and platform services, preferably in Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-level technologies, implementing cloud-native and hybrid solutions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global environment.

This role is hybrid, allowing for a blend of remote and office work, with expectations to be in the office 2-3 days a week based on business needs.

Additional Information:
This position may require travel 5-10% of the time. The work will be conducted in an office setting, necessitating the ability to sit and stand at a desk, communicate effectively, and operate standard office equipment.
