Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and execute infrastructure solutions on GCP utilizing Terraform, with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, and automation.
  • Deploy and oversee containerized applications on GKE.
  • Apply and uphold the principles of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to ensure system dependability and availability.
  • Enhance cloud infrastructure for cost-effectiveness and performance optimization.
  • Work alongside development teams to establish CI/CD pipelines for streamlined software delivery.
  • Monitor system performance and implement enhancements to maintain high availability and reliability.
  • Establish and uphold security protocols, adhering to best practices and compliance standards.
  • Engage in incident response and troubleshooting initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of the latest GCP services, tools, and industry developments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a GCP Engineer role or a similar capacity.
  • Extensive experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and BigQuery.
  • Expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
  • Practical experience with containerization platforms like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, particularly GKE.
  • Experience in applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with managing CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Spinnaker.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Stackdriver or Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Site Reliability Engineer) are advantageous.
