Job Overview

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Cage Cashier is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the precise, secure, and efficient management of all cash transactions, including cash, coins, chips, credit card transactions, and check cashing, while adhering to relevant governmental regulations, casino policies, and departmental procedures.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accurately conducts cash, chip, and ticket transactions for guests and team members in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Handles checks, credit/debit card transactions, promotional vouchers, gift cards, and foreign currency exchanges.
  • Issues, replenishes, and manages cash banks, and prepares and processes jackpot and promotional payouts.
  • Coordinates with Table Games Department for gaming chip fill requests and chip transfers with Cage Operations.
  • Manages credit markers, front money, and safekeeping transactions.
  • Balances cash drawers at the end of shifts and documents any discrepancies.
  • Operates and maintains all equipment necessary for daily operations, including currency and coin counters.
  • Establishes new player accounts by verifying identification and entering necessary information into the player club system.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the player's club program and current promotions to provide accurate information to guests.
  • Communicates professionally and courteously with guests and colleagues.
  • Adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Addresses issues within established guidelines and escalates to supervisors when necessary.
  • Ensures a clean and safe work environment by following hygiene and safety standards.
  • Participates in required training sessions and meetings.
  • Safeguards company assets and reports any suspicious activities to management.
  • May assist with promotional events and special activities as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
EXPERIENCE
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience or training preferred.
  • Sales experience is a plus.
  • Experience as a cage cashier, bank teller, or in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with player tracking systems and gaming operations is preferred.
