Commercial Sales Representative

BrandSafway is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Sales Representative to join our team in Kansas City, KS. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating leads, closing sales, and building strong relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the commercial sector, targeting the sale, rental, erection, and dismantling of scaffolding systems and related solutions.
- Consultative selling: understand customer specifications and prepare proposals that meet their needs, coordinating engineering services as necessary.
- Project management: coordinate the entire sales process, from initial contact through delivery, erection, and dismantling of scaffolding systems.
- Customer relationship management: build and maintain strong relationships with customers, regularly communicating about job requirements and ensuring the safe and effective use of our products and services.
- Financial management: prepare accurate and timely invoices for customers, follow up on past-due accounts, and maintain positive relationships.
- Sales operations: maintain detailed records of sales activities and expenses, utilize our CRM (Salesforce) to track leads, opportunities, and sales progress.
- Technical support: provide on-site support to address any issues with scaffolding systems that do not meet specifications.
- Business development: develop short-term and long-term strategies to acquire new customers and expand market share.
- Safety advocacy: promote a strong safety culture by emphasizing the importance of proper training and adherence to safety guidelines when using our equipment.
- Education: high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, sales, or marketing preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Technical skills: ability to read blueprints, understand specifications, and prepare accurate estimates.
- CRM: Salesforce or similar CRM familiarity.
- Communication: excellent oral and written communication skills for effective customer interactions and sales presentations.
- Problem-solving: ability to analyze complex information, make sound decisions, and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Valid driver's license: must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
