Clinical Training Development Specialist

JOB SUMMARY
The Learning & Development Training Specialist - Clinician plays a crucial role in partnering with various departments within the organization to identify and execute training initiatives related to STAR+PLUS. This position involves facilitating essential components of Service Coordination training while ensuring that relevant policies and procedures are effectively integrated into training materials.
The clinical trainer will act as a subject matter expert to create new training programs and update existing content in response to evolving business needs. Responsibilities include collaborating with relevant departments to design comprehensive training plans and schedules, developing targeted training for specific roles, and conducting skills assessments.
As a vital member of the Learning & Development team, you will also manage learning delivery and/or program/project management office (PMO) functions. This will ensure the implementation of effective and innovative programs that align with the Learning & Development strategy to achieve desired organizational outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Collaborate with Medical Affairs leadership and subject matter experts to formulate a strategic plan for STAR+PLUS Service Coordination training, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations set by federal and state regulators.
2. Work alongside Medical Affairs leadership to guarantee that necessary regulatory assessments are conducted. Analyze findings from tests and audits related to assessments, documentation, authorizations, and other Service Coordination responsibilities to identify trends that may influence best practices within the organization.
3. Continuously assess the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, participant feedback, and performance metrics.
4. Provide ongoing support to program staff, offering resources and guidance for continuous professional development. Facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions, incorporating interactive elements to enhance engagement using modern technology.
5. Collaborate with fellow Learning and Development team members to ensure that new and existing employees comprehend the STAR+PLUS member lifecycle across all departments and to establish or update role-specific training as necessary.
6. Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: RN, RUG Certification required. BSN and Person Centered Training Instructor certification preferred.
Work Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a managed care health plan as a service coordinator, coupled with at least 3-5 years of experience in training, precepting, or coaching within STAR+PLUS Service Coordination.
Management Experience: Not applicable.
Software Proficiencies: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), as well as Articulate, Canva, Rise 360, and Camtasia.
