JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Training Development Specialist - RN plays a pivotal role in partnering with diverse departments within the organization to pinpoint and execute training initiatives related to STAR+PLUS. This position involves leading essential components of Service Coordination training, ensuring that relevant policies and procedures are effectively integrated into training materials. The specialist will act as a subject matter expert when necessary to create new training modules or update existing content in response to evolving business requirements.

As a vital member of the Learning & Development team, you will oversee learning delivery and/or program/project management office (PMO) activities. This will facilitate the implementation of innovative programs that align with the Learning & Development strategy to achieve targeted business outcomes. The specialist is accountable for the direction, coordination, execution, and completion of projects aimed at fulfilling business objectives. Collaborate with Learning & Development leaders, Talent Attraction department, and other business stakeholders to develop and implement an effective delivery and/or project management strategy.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

Work in conjunction with Medical Affairs leadership and subject matter experts to formulate a strategic plan for STAR+PLUS Service Coordination training. This role is responsible for crafting a comprehensive training plan that adheres to contractual requirements set forth by federal and state regulators.

Engage with Medical Affairs leadership to ensure that all necessary regulatory assessments are conducted. Analyze findings from tests and audits related to assessments, documentation, authorizations, and other Service Coordination responsibilities to identify trends that may influence best practices within the organization.

Regularly assess the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics.

Provide continuous support to program staff, offering resources and guidance for ongoing learning. Conduct both in-person and virtual training sessions, incorporating interactive elements to boost participant engagement through modern technology.

Collaborate with fellow Learning and Development team members to enhance new and existing employees' understanding of the STAR+PLUS member lifecycle across various departments and to establish or update role-specific training as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: RN, RUG Certification required.

BSN, Person Centered Training Instructor preferred.

Work Experience (Years and Area): Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a managed care health plan as a service coordinator and at least 3-5 years of experience in training, precepting, or coaching within STAR+PLUS Service Coordination.

Experience in Auditing, Utilization Management, and Level 1 Service Coordination, along with experience in clinical program development.

Management Experience (Years and Area): N/A

Software Proficiencies: Proficient in Microsoft (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Articulate, Canva, Rise 360, and Camtasia.
