Job Description

Job Summary:

Prometheus Federal Services is seeking a seasoned Healthcare Consultant Manager to support the Veterans Health Administration in a consulting capacity. As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with federal clients to develop and apply analytical methodologies and principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Healthcare Implementation Strategy: Collaborate with clients to design and implement effective healthcare strategies that drive growth and measure success.
  • Perform Gap Analysis: Identify differences between current and targeted healthcare states, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct Research and Analysis: Engage in research and analysis to provide recommendations using methodologies to measure, govern, and evaluate performance.
  • Collect and Analyze Data: Collect, analyze, and communicate field-based implementation data to inform decision-making.
  • Develop Guidance and Policies: Work with clients to review and develop guidance and policies that facilitate understanding, adoption, and implementation of new processes.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts: Work with subject matter experts to develop communications, content, and training in support of project implementation.
  • Anticipate Client Needs: Anticipate client/project needs and develop alternative solutions to drive success.
  • Develop and Maintain Client Relationships: Develop, maintain, and manage client relationships to ensure long-term success.
  • Track Implementation Process: Track the implementation process, see through action items, identify solutions to barriers, and escalate risks as appropriate.
  • Document and Deliver Findings: Document and deliver findings and recommendations to clients.

Requirements:

  • Education: BA/BS degree in health, science, health policy, communication, management, or related field from an accredited university.
  • Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in healthcare, government service, project management, or consulting.
  • Skills: Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks, strong communicator, strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and SharePoint, proven ability to lead teams, excellent communication skills, and professional writing skills.
  • Authorization: Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship indefinitely.
  • Public Trust: Ability to obtain a public trust.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Department of Veterans Health Administration Experience: Experience working with the Department of Veterans Health Administration.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification: PMP certification.
  • Complex Healthcare Organizational Redesign Experience: Experience participating in the development of one complex healthcare organizational redesign or new department stand-up effort.
  • Large Client Meetings Experience: Experience participating in the planning and facilitating large client meetings with clinically focused leadership teams.
