Solve IT Strategies, Inc. is in search of an Application Support Specialist. This position involves engaging with various stakeholders to enhance application performance and user satisfaction.

Essential Skills and Background: Proficiency in advanced SQL, experience in report development, and a solid understanding of Workday, particularly in Financial Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and optimize clinical and business workflows, addressing complex issues and requirements for designated applications. Utilize industry standards to map out essential business processes.
  • Create comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts to ensure the functionality of clinical and business operations. Conduct thorough unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, documenting all findings and resolutions.
  • Facilitate effective clinical and business practices to ensure smooth software transitions and optimal system use. Identify and implement enhancements for application products that promote efficient workflows.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to translate user needs into functional specifications, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support on processes and issue resolution, serving as a mentor to develop the skills of other application support personnel.
  • Maintain detailed process documentation, including workflows, requirements, specifications, installation instructions, testing procedures, user manuals, and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Monitor data integrity and conduct audits to proactively identify and resolve potential issues, collaborating with IT to implement system improvements that enhance efficiency.
  • Develop and deliver user training modules, ensuring users can fully leverage application functionalities. Assess training effectiveness and update curriculum as necessary.
  • Engage with healthcare providers, leadership, and clinicians to identify and resolve issues related to clinical applications and equipment.
  • Establish project timelines and plans to ensure successful project completion, coordinating the efforts of project team members as needed.

Licensure and Certification:

  • No specific licensure required.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a comparable discipline.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business process analysis, requirements definition, acceptance testing, and documentation in the relevant functional area.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • For HIM/HB Support Analysts: Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) is preferred.
  • For PB Support Analysts: Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is advantageous.
  • Experience in facilitating communication between application users, vendors, and technical experts, providing operational support for clinical systems.
  • Strong understanding of application management and technical components, including hardware, operating systems, and databases.
  • Project management skills with proficiency in project management tools.
  • Analytical skills to make informed recommendations based on data analysis and user needs, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritize responsibilities, and achieve objectives.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a knack for data organization.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar applications and experience with large-scale automated systems.
