Bilingual ERSEA Support Specialist

As an ERSEA Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to engage with and support families within your community, ensuring that our programs maintain full enrollment, particularly for those children and families with the greatest needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with the Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance (ERSEA) Head Start Performance Standards, while implementing them with precision.
  • Assisting families and staff with the Online Family Application process, including account setup, inquiries, information entry, and document uploads.
  • Reviewing applications and collaborating with families to complete all necessary enrollment and intake forms promptly for each child and family assigned to your center.
  • Determining the eligibility of children and families, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and complete.

Qualifications:
Previous experience working with vulnerable populations is essential. A strong commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and families through effective engagement is crucial. A High School Diploma/GED is required, while an AA/AS degree in Social Work, Education, or a related field is preferred. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is mandatory. Familiarity with Head Start Performance Standards is advantageous. Occasional travel, both locally and long-distance, may be required for work-related meetings and functions.
