Job Description

As a Materials Manager at Kirchhoff-Automotive, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes. Your primary responsibility will be to plan and manage the flow of materials, from procurement to delivery, to meet the demands of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Reconcile on-hand inventories with manufacturing/distribution inventories to reduce errors and ensure accuracy.
  • Production Scheduling: Generate production schedules based on customer needs and on-hand inventories to meet production timelines.
  • Procurement: Manage all aspects of suppliers, including MRO and production materials, to ensure timely delivery and quality.
  • Customer Service: Provide leadership for local purchasing activities and ensure all customer demands and ratings are met.
  • Inventory Planning: Review routings & BOM's of each component/product, part and inventory planning data to optimize inventory levels.
Requirements:
  • Leadership: Provide leadership for local purchasing activities and ensure all customer demands and ratings are met.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of production plans.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and production scheduling issues in a timely manner.
  • Lean: Understand and apply relevant KAPS methods and tools to improve processes and reduce waste.
