Position Summary
The role of Inspector III is pivotal in ensuring that all products, components, and assemblies meet stringent customer and military standards. This position demands a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality assurance throughout the inspection process.
Key Responsibilities
As assigned by the Department Manager, the Inspector III will:
- Conduct thorough visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections of materials and parts.
- Verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Utilize various measurement tools to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Support the calibration of gauges and measurement devices.
- Initiate Nonconforming Material Reports (NCM) when necessary.
- Participate in audits and customer site visits as required.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in all work areas.
The Inspector III will report directly to the Quality Manager / Lead CMM Programmer I, ensuring that all tasks are performed accurately and efficiently in line with company policies and customer specifications.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with 0 to 2 years of quality control experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
- A basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT).
- Familiarity with ISO standards and Statistical Process Control (SPC) is advantageous.
