Position SummaryThe primary responsibility of the Control Component Technician is to engage in the assembly of various control components. This role includes:
Key Responsibilities- Assembly Tasks: Involves assembling components and sub-assemblies, which may include tasks such as cutting, winding, soldering, and testing to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Material Handling: Working with both basic materials and pre-manufactured components to create larger assemblies or finished products.
- Quality Assurance: Inspecting completed work to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Collaboration: Working closely with engineering teams to provide feedback on designs and assist in improving assembly processes.
Assemblers are categorized into proficiency levels based on experience and skill:
- Level 1: Highly proficient with minimal supervision, typically with over 2 years of experience.
- Level 2: Moderately proficient with occasional supervision, generally with at least 1 year of experience.
- Level 3: Entry-level proficiency requiring general supervision, suitable for new hires or those with less than 1 year of experience.
This position requires standing for extended periods, with some tasks allowing for seated work. Lifting requirements are managed with the use of overhead cranes, ensuring safety and efficiency.
QualificationsCandidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with strong manual dexterity and visual acuity. Certification in assembly procedures is preferred.
