Role Overview:
The Assistant Manager of Food and Beverage is tasked with overseeing all front-of-house operations and personnel in designated dining establishments during assigned shifts, while also providing support in the management of other food and beverage areas as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fosters an inviting atmosphere that encourages guests to choose our venue as their preferred destination; actively engages in building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Manages the opening and closing of shifts or work areas at designated times, ensuring that the outlet is fully prepared for service, and upholding cleanliness and security of company assets.
  • Handles administrative duties, including scheduling, attendance tracking, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal staffing levels and adherence to service standards.
  • Assists in monitoring departmental budgets to ensure effective utilization of labor and resources for smooth operations.
  • Evaluates guest service and satisfaction through direct interviews and observation of food ratings, making recommendations for enhancements to uphold high service standards and a positive dining experience.
  • Addresses guest concerns or complaints to maintain favorable customer relations.
  • Conducts daily inspections of food outlets to ensure a safe working environment, proper functioning of equipment, and adequate supply levels for seamless operations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications in accordance with Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of full-service restaurant operations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Knowledgeable about wines and alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to manage bar operations effectively.
  • Indiana ABC Permit (Liquor License) is mandatory.
  • Candidate must be at least 21 years of age.

This expertise and these skills are generally acquired through a high school diploma, along with four years of dining experience, including a minimum of two years in a supervisory role within Food and Beverage; or through a Bachelor's degree in Restaurant Management or a related field.
