Position Overview:
Under general supervision, the Lead Bartender is responsible for the opening and closing of the hotel Kitchen+Bar in accordance with company policies and procedures. This role involves maintaining a clean and organized food preparation and bar area while providing exceptional service to guests. It is essential for this team member to uphold a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality, promoting the Drury culture among customers and fellow team members. A general knowledge of the hotel, local area, and events is necessary to effectively address guest inquiries.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • One year of bartending experience is required; two or more years of bartending and supervisory experience is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of two years of college is preferred.
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Capability to mix and serve a diverse range of beverages in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to perform duties of bartender, prep cook, cocktail server, or other roles as needed.
  • Must obtain and maintain all necessary certifications as per company requirements.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions, make change, and utilize office equipment in daily operations.
  • Proficiency in operating various machines and equipment, including cash registers, POS software, dishwashers, and kitchen tools.
  • Skill in managing difficult situations and interactions with professionalism, including with bar guests and when leading team members.
  • Ability to open and close the bar, procure necessary supplies for cocktail preparation, and maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
  • Capability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make accurate change.
