Role Overview:
The Assistant Manager of Food and Beverage is tasked with overseeing all front-of-house operations and staff in designated dining establishments during assigned shifts, while also providing support in the management of additional food and beverage venues as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fosters an environment that encourages guests to choose our establishment as their preferred dining destination, actively enhancing and maintaining customer relations.
  • Manages the opening and closing procedures for shifts or work areas, ensuring that the venue is fully prepared for service, while upholding cleanliness and safeguarding company assets.
  • Handles administrative duties including scheduling, timekeeping, and performance evaluations to ensure adequate staffing and adherence to service standards.
  • Assists in monitoring the departmental budget to ensure optimal use of labor and resources, facilitating effective departmental operations.
  • Evaluates guest service and satisfaction through direct interviews and food quality assessments, providing recommendations for enhancements to maintain high service standards and a positive dining experience.
  • Addresses guest concerns or complaints to uphold positive customer relations.
  • Conducts daily inspections of food outlets to ensure a safe working environment, proper equipment functionality, and adequate supply levels for seamless operations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to secure and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications in accordance with Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of full-service restaurant operations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of wines and alcoholic beverages.
  • Capability to manage bar operations effectively.
  • Indiana ABC Permit (Liquor License) is mandatory.
  • Candidate must be at least 21 years old.

This expertise and these skills are generally acquired through a high school diploma, complemented by four years of dining experience, including a minimum of two years in a supervisory role within Food and Beverage; or through a Bachelor's degree in Restaurant Management or a related discipline.
