Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Patient Access Service Representative to join our team at Tech Observer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and experience working in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting and Arriving Patients

The Patient Access Service Representative will be responsible for greeting and arriving patients in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Verifying Patient Information

The representative will verify and update patient demographic information to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Collecting Payments

The representative will collect payments for copays, supplies, and services rendered in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Balancing Daily Cash Collections

The representative will balance daily cash collections to ensure accuracy and reconcile any discrepancies.

  • Obtaining Patient Signatures

The representative will obtain necessary patient signatures for consent and other documents.

  • Scheduling Appointments

The representative will schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments as needed.

  • Answering Telephone Calls

The representative will answer and direct telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner.

Qualifications
  • Experience

A minimum of two years of prior experience as a receptionist/assistant or in a related field is required.

  • Communication Skills

Effective oral and written communication skills are essential for this role.

  • Organizational Skills

The ability to multi-task efficiently and maintain a high level of organization is crucial for success in this position.

  • Customer Service Skills

Excellent customer service skills are required to provide a positive experience for patients and visitors.

  • Technical Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word is necessary for this role, and knowledge of medical terminology and EpicCare is preferred.
