Cybersecurity Specialist - Cyber Test Tool (CTT) ISSO

Overview of the Role:

As a Cybersecurity Specialist focusing on Cyber Test Tool (CTT) ISSO at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the security posture of the Cyber Test Tool. Your responsibilities will include the management of essential EMASS documentation and daily collaboration with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and Security Administrators (SAs) on the Test team to facilitate both hardware and software upgrades for all GMD components. You will also be tasked with supporting the development of GMD Element readiness for testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct all cybersecurity initiatives related to CTT, including the Security Plan (SP), Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), Risk Assessments, Vulnerability Reports, and Security Assessment Reports.
  • Act as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO), ensuring compliance with security protocols and maintaining a robust security posture.
  • Develop and manage EMASS packages for approval by DCSA and MDA.
  • Coordinate all security-related changes to hardware and software across lab environments.
  • Conduct audits and track vulnerabilities in accordance with established security best practices under Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines.
  • Implement and monitor hardware and software baselines effectively.
  • Collaborate efficiently within a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

To qualify for this challenging position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) and at least 5 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of networking (Cisco), Linux, Solaris, and Microsoft systems.
  • Prior experience in system administration.
  • Certifications such as CISSP and Linux+.
  • Familiarity with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
  • Understanding of DoD Manual, DoD Information Security Program, and NISPOM.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of GMD system components and related technologies.

Security Clearance Requirement:

This position necessitates the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship as a condition of employment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with GMD programs.
  • Background in System of Systems Integration.
  • Strong security background with prior roles as ISSO, FSO, or ISSM.
  • Proficiency in Linux OS and network programming protocols (TCP/UDP).
  • Familiarity with the Security EMASS development process.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA).

Work Arrangement:

This position is primarily onsite, with a 9/80 work schedule.

Compensation Overview:

The salary range for this position is between $77,000 and $137,000, based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
