Associate Project Manager for Energy Storage Solutions

DNV Energy Systems is on the lookout for a skilled Associate Project Manager for Energy Storage Solutions to focus on energy storage and hybrid systems that integrate renewable energy with storage capabilities. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including supporting key client accounts, facilitating project due diligence, managing projects, driving process enhancements, sharing expertise, gathering feedback, and engaging in business development activities such as proposal creation.

This position offers flexibility, allowing for a hybrid work schedule where employees typically spend three days per week at a DNV office. Specific role requirements will be discussed during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the technical review process among internal experts, including civil and electrical engineers, energy assessors, technology specialists, and permitting teams, while synthesizing and drafting due diligence reports.
  • Support comprehensive project management tasks and maintain excellent communication with clients.
  • Conduct parts of due diligence reviews, including contract evaluations and financial model assessments, while synthesizing inputs from various technical disciplines.
  • Assist in resolving technical challenges with project developers, lenders, and investors, coordinating input from internal technical experts.
  • Contribute to the development and success of proposals for services related to due diligence.
  • Oversee or participate in DNV construction monitoring and site visit activities.
  • Support the Project Management team and clients through the financial closing phases of projects.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, including leading tool development, refining processes, digitization efforts, and capturing lessons learned.
  • Aim to manage small projects within 6 to 18 months of starting the role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, business, energy, or a related field is required.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and adept project and time management abilities, including the capacity to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Solution-oriented mindset and high integrity.
  • Familiarity with energy storage industry technologies.
  • Supportive and proactive team player, eager to collaborate.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Pre-employment background checks and drug screenings will be conducted.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
  • While prior experience is not mandatory, familiarity with the storage industry will be advantageous, particularly knowledge of storage technologies, business models, and battery degradation.
  • Exposure to various contracts related to construction, supply, operations, and asset management.
  • Understanding of budgets and financial models.
  • Project management experience or certification.
  • Knowledge of energy storage systems.
