Job Overview

The Agile Team Coach and Scrum Master plays a pivotal role as a servant leader and facilitator within Goli Tech, guiding Agile Teams through their iterative processes and events. This position is essential for fostering the growth and maturity of Agile Teams by instilling Agile values, principles, and best practices. The Scrum Master/Team Coach is tasked with eliminating obstacles, cultivating a high-performance team culture, and driving ongoing improvement and workflow efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Development: Mentor teams in self-organization and self-management to enhance their effectiveness within the Agile framework.
  • Agile Release Trains (ARTs): Organize and engage in ART events to strengthen the implementation of Agile methodologies across the organization.
  • Scrum Expertise: Exhibit a deep commitment to Agile frameworks and elevate Scrum proficiency by utilizing Scrum techniques and artifacts, including user story refinement and backlog management.
  • Support and Empathy: Demonstrate genuine concern for team members' perspectives and emotions, fostering a collaborative and high-performing atmosphere.
  • Conflict Management: Assist in resolving interpersonal conflicts, encouraging effective problem-solving and decision-making within the team.
  • Servant Leadership: Prioritize the needs of team members and stakeholders, using influence to align with organizational values and objectives.
  • Mentorship: Encourage personal growth and promote a culture of continuous learning, guiding teams to independently address challenges.
  • Transparency: Ensure openness by reviewing artifacts, identifying inconsistencies, and recognizing anti-patterns.
  • Agile Training: Educate teams on methodologies beyond Scrum, such as SAFe, Kanban, and Built-in Quality.
  • Preparation for PI Planning: Equip teams for PI Planning by informing them about upcoming features and identifying local stories, maintenance, defects, and technical debt.
  • Drafting PI Plans: Facilitate the development of draft PI plans, objectives, and identification of ART risks and issues.
  • Objective Development: Assist teams in formulating and finalizing PI objectives with a blend of committed and uncommitted goals.
  • Plan Evaluation: Ensure PI objectives are SMART and facilitate collaboration between Business Owners and teams during business value assignments.
  • Event Coordination: Organize cadence-based events to synchronize efforts and conduct retrospectives for continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master/Team Coach in a large enterprise.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education.
  • Proficiency in Jira Software, Confluence, FigJam, Jira Align, and AgilityHealth.
  • SAFe 6.0 Scrum Master Certification (Required).
  • Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications: SAFe SASM 6.0, SAFe SPC 6.0, SAFe SA 6.0, SAFe RTE 6.0, CSM, SAFe Studio Experience, ICAgile.
