Role Summary:
The organization is in search of a seasoned Agile Project Manager to spearhead the execution of a cloud-centric data management solution tailored to meet the agency's operational requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong history of architecting and deploying effective cloud-based strategies for intricate data management challenges. Proficiency in data security and cloud infrastructure is essential, with a preference for experience in transportation-related data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate seamless project execution throughout the project lifecycle, encompassing project planning, resource distribution, and risk management.
- Coordinate Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives, and Release Planning.
- Monitor and relay project progress concerning timelines, budget, and risks to relevant stakeholders.
- Create an environment conducive to team effectiveness and assist in overcoming obstacles.
- Shield the team from external interruptions and distractions.
- Foster positive relationships between the team and product owners, as well as external stakeholders.
- Track and report on team performance metrics and project milestones.
- Encourage continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team productivity.
- Assist the Product Owner in managing the Product backlog.
- Comply with the organization's project management standards.
- Communicate project timelines and expectations to both technical and business personnel.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to grasp project requirements and support data management objectives.
- Ensure secure data handling in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Analyze data to provide insights that inform project management decisions.
- Deliver training and support to end-users for effective platform utilization.
- Demonstrate expertise in planning and maintaining local master data systems across various business units.
- Utilize data to generate business value and engage with data teams on requirements.
- Implement data governance strategies and practices.
- Employ Agile methodologies to enhance master data governance processes.
- Document requirements and facilitate design workshops for assigned projects.
- Define testing objectives and develop test plans for project assignments.
- Oversee project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely and budget-compliant outcomes.
- Establish, measure, and communicate progress through relevant metrics.
Qualifications:
- Comprehensive understanding of software development life cycle models and Agile project management principles.
- Experience in managing cloud-based data management and analytics solutions.
- Ability to engage with clients, comprehend their business practices, and manage expectations.
- Capability to set clear performance benchmarks and hold team members accountable while maintaining engagement.
- Support Product Owners in creating and prioritizing the Product Backlog.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including mentoring, coaching, and team collaboration.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in analyzing and documenting business and system processes.
- Ability to balance quality, scope, schedule, and cost demands.
- Familiarity with Scrum and Kanban Agile methodologies.
- PMP and CSM Certifications are mandatory.
- SAFe Certification is advantageous.
- Experience with the SAFe framework is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure and software systems, including Azure and Google Cloud.
- Experience with data processing and storage tools (e.g., Spark, Azure Data Factory).
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.
- Familiarity with transportation data and project management in that context is beneficial.
- Experience in IT Infrastructure delivery is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
