Position Overview:
As a SAFe Agile Coach, you will play a pivotal role in steering the organizational transformation by utilizing frameworks such as Scaled Agile (SAFe), Scrum, and Kanban. Your mission will be to foster the adoption of an Agile mindset through Lean Portfolio Management, enhancing Agile delivery capabilities, and utilizing Agile lifecycle management tools while providing coaching and mentorship to team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the launch of Agile Release Trains (ART) from inception to completion.
- Facilitate SAFe training sessions and workshops, including Leading SAFe, SAFe for Teams, SAFe Product Owner and Product Manager, and Value Stream Identification.
- Introduce best practices into the organization and collaborate closely with senior leadership to establish lean-agile routines and practices that enable the organization to operate Agile at scale.
- Drive discussions with team leads and management, ensuring the collective team remains focused on commitments, pace, and quality.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in coaching, mentoring, and advising technology leaders through complex Agile transformations.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement enterprise-level organizational transformation frameworks.
- Experience supporting government entities such as the Navy, DoD, or DHS.
- Familiarity with Application Lifecycle Management and Agile Management tools.
- Strong communication skills to lead discussions with executives and team leads on Agile methodologies.
- Possession of a Secret clearance.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Capability to obtain a SAFe 5.1 Program Consultant (SPC) Certification within 30 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with DoD Acquisition Category (ACAT) or Business Category (BCAT) programs.
- Background in collaborating with senior executive leaders in dynamic environments.
- Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
Clearance Requirements:
Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.
