Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Material Recovery Specialist to join our team at Environmentally Conscious Recycling. This role is essential in ensuring the effective sorting and processing of recyclable materials.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct visual inspections of incoming loads to identify and remove non-recyclable items.
  • Maintain a tidy, safe, and organized workspace to promote efficiency and safety.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and provide assistance as required.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by management.


MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Exhibit a professional demeanor, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team setting.
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
  • Availability for weekend and closing shifts.
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and attentiveness to surroundings.
  • Knowledge of construction materials is advantageous.
  • Ability to endure various weather conditions (e.g., rain, snow, heat, cold).
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and navigating uneven surfaces.
  • Basic verbal communication skills in English and/or Spanish are required.
  • Open to cross-training in other roles as needed.
  • Must successfully complete a standard drug screening and background check.
