Job Summary

Summary: Responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*This position requires transportation of product on a company-owned vehicle; therefore, as a condition of employment, a Motor Vehicle Check must be completed and meet the criteria set by Levy.

  • Interprets production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Transports materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated locations.
  • Organizes materials/goods on racks, shelves, and bins or in refrigerated rooms according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Processes requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly lines.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves; conveys orders to packing stations or shipping departments.
  • Labels materials with identifying information.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Records quantities of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within the facility to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Arranges stock parts in specified sequences for assembly by other workers.
  • Utilizes computer systems to enter records.
  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
  • Operates vehicles to transport stored items or to pick up items.
  • Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
  • Prepares parcels for mailing.
  • Maintains inventory records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
