Position Overview

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a dedicated Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support our operations. This role is essential in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems while adhering to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) within a fast-paced acquisition environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate comprehensive RMF Accreditation documentation, including standard operating procedures and policies for both networked and standalone systems, aiming for successful Authorization to Operate (ATO) outcomes.
  • Identify and document security risks associated with system operations, overseeing the management and approval of Authorization Packages. Ensure that all authorization and assurance documentation for software applications, networks, and systems is up-to-date.
  • Formulate and communicate security policies that govern data, software applications, hardware, telecommunications, and information systems programs.
  • Act as the primary Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for assigned systems, maintaining authorization packages and standard operating procedures within the RMF and rapid acquisition lifecycle.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with government clients, colleagues, and vendors in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, accompanied by 4-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Compliance with experience, training, and certification standards as per DoD IAT level II or IAM level III.
  • Possession of a CISSP certification.
  • Proven experience in identifying and evaluating vulnerabilities, including the planning, testing, and documentation of (DoD) accreditation packages for IT systems and networks, particularly within the RMF framework.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and possess (or be able to obtain) a Final Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in project management.
  • Familiarity with RMF 2.0.
  • Knowledge of the U.S. Army Rapid Acquisition Lifecycle.
  • Experience with the accreditation and documentation processes for weapons systems.

Compensation Information

The pay range for this position is $81,000 to $146,875. This range serves as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation. Factors influencing the final offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
