Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will utilize their retail expertise to:

Client & Service Expertise:

  • Develop initiatives that drive business growth and attract new clientele.
  • Communicate and meet store productivity goals, including sales metrics.
  • Ensure all team members complete sales training and possess strong product knowledge.
  • Model and oversee the sales environment, providing consistent coaching to enhance customer service and sales performance.

Leadership & Talent Development:

  • Assist the Store Manager in achieving financial objectives through measurable improvements.
  • Step into the Store Manager role when necessary.
  • Lead by example in achieving personal sales targets.
  • Educate the team on sales strategies and performance metrics to maximize business outcomes.
  • Network within the community to efficiently fill open positions.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of employee performance.

Brand Equity Building:

  • Communicate the Kate Spade New York brand aesthetic and philosophy to both the sales team and customers.
  • Ensure adherence to brand and operational standards for consistency.
  • Implement visual merchandising directives and maintain store presentation standards.
  • Relay merchandise performance, stock levels, and customer feedback to the Store Manager to enhance service and sales.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee store opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and securing the facility.
  • Assist the Store Manager in managing payroll budgets and scheduling adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, focusing on loss prevention.
  • Ensure accurate processing of all POS transactions to maintain inventory integrity.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a retail setting.
  • Preferred college degree.
  • Experience in luxury goods is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Availability to work flexible store hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting boxes up to 40 pounds safely.
  • Comfortable with climbing ladders.
