Position Summary:
The Parking Operations Supervisor is responsible for assisting facility guests by providing directions, information, and guidance in a courteous and efficient manner, while ensuring compliance with specific event requirements as outlined by the Parking Manager and the Director of Security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process parking fee payments and provide accurate change.
- Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of cash and unsold parking tickets.
- Address inquiries regarding parking procedures and regulations.
- Supervise staff during shifts, ensuring appropriate breaks and meal periods are provided.
- Conduct briefings with staff to relay essential information.
- Review departmental checklists and ensure all equipment is accounted for.
- Inform management of any necessary employee counseling.
- Engage with the public and collaborate with all levels of management and staff.
- Monitor employee adherence to facility rules, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Prepare and set up the parking area before and after each event.
- Perform additional job-related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with traffic management and organization.
- Experience in cash handling.
- Valid California Driver's License.
- Supervisory experience overseeing a team of 10-30 individuals.
- Ability to interact diplomatically with the public and colleagues.
- Proficient radio communication skills.
- Capability to:
- Greet guests warmly and maintain professionalism at all times.
- Remain composed under pressure.
- Accurately handle cash transactions.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Exhibit strong customer service skills.
- Demonstrate effective organizational abilities.
- Supervise staff effectively.
- Communicate well in writing, verbally, and interpersonally; interact with all levels of staff, including management.
- Adapt to irregular working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintain a professional appearance and work ethic.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
This position requires prolonged standing and may involve exposure to adverse conditions, including irregular hours.
Must be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. The essential responsibilities outlined above may be subject to change due to reasonable accommodations or other factors.
