About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Judicial Clerk to join our team at the Maricopa County Justice Court. As a Senior Judicial Clerk, you will play a critical role in providing administrative support to the court, ensuring the smooth operation of court proceedings, and providing exceptional customer service to the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and maintain confidential and sensitive court records, including preparing and issuing formal orders and documents.
  • Prepare bench warrants, releases, summonses, subpoenas, minute entries, certified copies, and other court forms.
  • Mark and maintain all submitted exhibits, complete docket entries/case notes, and respond to inquiries from the public and other agencies.
  • Manage cash handling, financial reconciliation, and customer service functions, including creating payment plans and processing fines.
  • Act as a supervisor in the absence of the judicial clerk lead and judicial clerk supervisor, and may serve as bailiff in court proceedings.
Requirements
  • Three years of progressively responsible full-time legal, court, justice system, or administrative support experience.
  • High school diploma or GED, with a combination of post-secondary education and job-related experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis.
