Utilize your expertise in food nutrition within the State of Oregon

The State of Oregon is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Facility Services team as the Nutritional Program Supervisor. In this pivotal position, you will act as the primary consultant for our food service initiatives, ensuring the proficient management and growth of food procurement strategies. Your duties will encompass overseeing the food purchasing program, exploring bulk buying options, and executing various cost-reduction strategies to manage food service budgets effectively.

As the Nutritional Program Supervisor, you will track institutional food service expenditures, contribute valuable insights for budget development, and keep management informed about financial matters and opportunities. You will also ensure adherence to menu certification standards as specified in operational guidelines and state regulations. Furthermore, you will provide strategic advice to the Assistant Director of Facilities and Business Services regarding enhancements and operational efficiencies in food services.

In this capacity, you will manage the State's Food Service Program, offering statewide support to facility administrators and kitchen supervisors. By assisting facility food service managers, you will facilitate the implementation of new recipes, tailor menus, and guarantee compliance with School Nutrition Programs.

Your role will also involve managing the nutrition and food service software, PrimeroEdge, for inventory management, purchasing, production, menu planning, and nutritional assessment. Your expertise will be vital in advising facility administration on food, equipment, and supply requirements, ensuring effective procurement practices, and maintaining state price agreements and interagency contracts. Additionally, you will play a significant role in mentoring and training new facility food service managers, enhancing distribution logistics, fostering partnerships with external agencies, and improving safety and sanitation protocols in food service environments.
