Job Summary

The Human Resources Administrator will play a key role in supporting the daily functions of the Human Resources Department, including recruiting, training, benefits administration, and implementing human resources policies and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions, collaborating with departmental managers to understand the required skills and competencies.
  • Assist the HR Director in conducting background checks for Managers and/or Camp Counselors.
  • Post job advertisements on various job boards and social media platforms, including Craigslist, Company Facebook, LinkedIn, Indeed, ADP, Workforce Solutions, and others.
  • Remove job advertisements from job boards and social media once vacancies have been filled.
  • Prepare and send rejection letters or emails to non-selected job candidates.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure that job descriptions are regularly reviewed and updated as duties change and roles evolve.
  • Ensure that new and accurate job descriptions are written when new positions are created and filled.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, talent management, employment law, and technological advances in human resources.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including recruiting, training, and development, benefits, and safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Associate Degree Required and/or Bachelor degree in Human Resources preferred.
  • Three years of related administrative experience, preferably in human resources.
  • Valid state driver's license and clean MVR.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
