Project Director

Michael Page is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction and excellent leadership skills.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and direction on commercial construction projects. This will include monitoring and controlling construction through administrative direction of on-site and corporate staff to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing a work plan, establishing priorities, and assigning tasks to the project team
- Coordinating the preparation of the schedule and long-term planning
- Implementing, monitoring, updating, and communicating the progress schedule and its periodic revisions
- Managing financial aspects of contracts, including reviewing and approving budgets, cost reports, rental equipment, and expenses
- Performing the final review of internal items such as Cost Analysis, Monthly Billing, Master Cost Breakdown, and Monthly Reports
- Managing subcontractor schedules, quality of work, coordination with other trades, and payments
- Creating and maintaining a safe and secure job site environment
- Reviewing and approving drawings and samples prior to submittal
- Training and developing the project team and scheduling project resources
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- 7+ years of construction experience
- A strong background in commercial construction
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- The ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The desire to grow their career professionally
- A strong track record with client relationships
