Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Outreach Coordinator to join our team at People's Food Co-op in Rochester. This full-time position will work a combination of days and evenings and have weekend availability.

The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing local events in our Rochester community, ensuring successful representation in community events, and relationship building with area companies/customers to gain PFC community recognition. Collaborates with key cross-functional teams and outside vendors to support business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, coordinates, and executes marketing initiatives including but not limited to events, sponsorships, partnerships, and community involvement
  • Coordinates internal staff appreciation and involvement events with the Marketing team
  • Manages external event logistics (on PFC property or off-site) including but not limited to deadlines, payments, assets, staffing, and results tracking
  • Provides ongoing market monitoring and feedback: market insights, customer contact, and associate engagement through event representation
  • Identifies local businesses and executes grassroot marketing campaigns
  • Researches and compiles competitive intelligence to identify key concerns and opportunities
  • Communicates daily, weekly, monthly on campaigns and initiatives through reports
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams in aligning efforts, resources, and budget allocations
  • Identifies and coordinates PR opportunities in conjunction with Marketing Director to support local campaign initiatives
  • Provides excellent internal customer service and maintains open communication with all associates, management, and vendors

Requirements:

  • 1 year field marketing, sales, or equivalent experience required
  • Event Planning/Management, Fundraising, Experiential Marketing, or Sales experience a plus
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills; proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with excellent follow-through
  • Strategic thinker who can articulate objectives into actionable campaigns that produce results
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving, collaborative environment
  • Solid interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism; in-person, phone, and email
  • Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet software, email, and database software
