Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Patient Account Representative to join our team at OU-Physicians Tulsa Central Billing Office. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, resolving account discrepancies, and working with insurance companies to ensure timely payment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide top-notch customer service to patients via phone, email, and in-person interactions
  • Resolve account discrepancies, including researching bad addresses, filing insurance claims, and posting patient payments
  • Work with insurance companies to ensure timely payment and resolve billing issues
  • Collaborate with the revenue cycle team to identify and implement process improvements
  • Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 24 months of recent experience in medical billing, medical collections, or medical billing systems (Allscripts, Epic, or other)
  • Proficient skills in data entry, medical account reconciliation, and charge entries
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work successfully with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and patients
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
  • Ability to follow patient safety and confidentiality (HIPAA) guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
  • EPIC, Allscripts, and EMR experience
  • Experience working in a large practice with several providers
  • Experience working with government insurance plans
