Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Healthcare Partners Investments. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient registration process for patients receiving services at our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Verification: Accurately gather and enter patient information into our computer system, verify benefits for non-pre-registered patients, and obtain signatures on required forms.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate with clinical departments and scheduling representatives to obtain scheduled appointments and orders prior to the service date.
  • Pre-Registration: Pre-register 98% of all scheduled patients a minimum of three business days in advance of their arrival.
  • Insurance Verification: Utilize online programs to verify insurance eligibility and benefits, documenting findings on the patient account.
  • Cash Collection: Collect co-payments, deductibles, and co-insurance from patients at the time of service.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and communication skills with all internal and external customers/contacts.
Requirements
  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent required; 2 years college preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in patient registration, verification, and authorization in a medical center or comparable institution demonstrating the skill, knowledge, and ability to perform registration duties preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to accurately type 40 WPM, and proficiency in using office equipment.
Working Conditions

This position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with frequent use of computer systems and office equipment. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure is essential.
