Key Responsibilities- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a timely and professional manner
- Collect and process patient payments, including copays and deductibles
- Make financial arrangements for patients and verify insurance eligibility
- Perform check-in and check-out duties accurately and efficiently
- Make appointments for visits and notify clinical staff of emergencies
- Enter patient demographics into our practice management system
- Take clear and concise messages from pharmacies, physicians, and hospital personnel
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette
- 1 year of clerical experience preferred
- Experience with cashier procedures, basic accounting, and health insurance terminology
- 6 months of customer service experience and 6 months of telephone customer service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
