Patient Account Representative

:
  • Ability to handle 75+ inbound and/or outbound calls effectively
  • Daily collection on patient account balances to meet or exceed a monthly collection goal
  • Analyzes accounts for proper billing procedures and takes necessary action to rebill/resolve as necessary
  • Utilize internal and external software to retrieve, input, or modify information needed to explain the charge and answer questions for patients
  • Willingness to follow up with patients as needed to provide information related to account/balance resolution
  • Accurately document accounts including details related to the call

Skills:

inbound and outbound calls, payment process, collections medical, emr, microsoft office

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience from a healthcare collections or billing role preferred
  • Experience using multiple computer systems at one time
  • Experience previously working with patients in a customer service or clinical role
  • Training will be about 4 weeks long so is important that there are no attendance misses during those core 4 weeks

Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 6pm (8 hrs a day within those core hours)

Performance metrics: usually take and make about 55 calls per day and need to upload 89% QA standards. Availability of calls needs to be 95%
