Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual who excels in problem-solving and relationship management. If you are passionate about delivering innovative solutions to educational institutions, including public, parochial, juvenile justice agencies, and charter school districts, we would like to connect with you. As a vital member of Pearson's sales team, your primary focus will be on College and Career Readiness Learning Solutions within a designated territory. Your responsibilities will include prospecting, product demonstrations, closing sales, and addressing customer inquiries.

Collaboration and Strategy

In partnership with an Executive Account Manager, you will identify and coordinate opportunities within large school districts. This role requires extensive product knowledge, persuasive skills, and strategic insight. You will utilize tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom to creatively address customer needs promptly.

Compensation Structure

At Pearson, compensation is determined by various factors, including skill set, experience level, and location. The salary range for this position is competitive, reflecting the value of your contributions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure district sales opportunities to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Align sales strategies with organizational objectives, providing customized solutions to meet client needs.
  • Develop comprehensive product knowledge to effectively address complex customer inquiries.
  • Manage leads within your assigned territory, determining the most suitable solutions for each prospect.
  • Renew and expand existing business while actively seeking new opportunities.
  • Utilize organizational tools, data, and marketing resources to enhance sales performance.
  • Oversee the entire sales process, including prospecting, proposal development, relationship management, and closing.
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge and contribute to RFP/RFQ efforts as required.

Success Metrics

Your success will be measured by your ability to meet or exceed sales targets while ensuring high customer retention through responsive service and effective partnerships. You will negotiate mutually beneficial agreements that address customer challenges and promote profitable transactions for Pearson.

About You

You thrive in a sales environment with at least 1 year of direct experience or 5 years as a dedicated educator, achieving notable results. A bachelor's degree is essential, and experience in education or technology sales is a plus. You possess strong time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills, enabling you to tackle challenges effectively. Your exceptional communication abilities and commitment to customer service will set you apart.
