Summary
  • The Clinical Field Consultant provides essential support to the Sales team within a designated region by delivering technical, clinical, and educational assistance. Key responsibilities encompass product demonstrations and training for new patients/customers, ongoing patient support, and collaboration with Regional Sales Managers to generate and follow up on sales leads, all while fostering robust client relationships. This role reports to the Area Sales Manager and receives daily guidance from local sales representatives.

Responsibilities
  • Acts as the primary clinical resource for patient selection, basic troubleshooting, device usage, and follow-up for company products.
  • Participates in patient device implant procedures and conducts follow-ups to ensure a successful implantation experience.
  • Provides timely product support and follow-up to patients and healthcare providers as needed.
  • Collaborates with sales representatives to meet with current and prospective clients, identifying their clinical needs and discussing how company products can assist in achieving their objectives.
  • Addresses customer inquiries and product concerns by devising innovative and practical solutions or working with SPR team members.
  • Educates clients on the advantages and proper clinical application of company products through various presentation formats (e.g., slideshows, webinars, e-training, manuals) to keep clinicians and sales representatives informed about product usage, relevant clinical data, and technological advancements.
  • Ensures that clinical literature is available at facilities.
  • Provides support for industry conferences and exhibitions as required.
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of SPR products, competitive devices, and emerging techniques in neuromodulation.
  • Facilitates open and effective communication with all personnel, clients, and other SPR employees.
  • Demonstrates the ability to build relationships with all key stakeholders, including patients, physicians, nurses, administrators, and the sales representatives supporting these accounts.
  • Handles administrative duties, including timely patient documentation and data collection.
  • As the role develops, may formally educate and train physicians and hospital/clinic staff on technical aspects related to SPR products through in-person and remote training sessions, including:
    • One-on-one in-services
    • Staff educational programs
    • Seminars and workshops for healthcare facilities
  • Requirements:
    • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in a clinical or related field (e.g., Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or other healthcare/biomedical disciplines). Other degrees with substantial relevant experience will be considered.
    • Experience working directly with patients is essential.
    • Preferred 3-5 years of relevant clinical support experience, with a strong preference for neuromodulation experience.
    • Prior experience in an Operating Room environment is highly desirable.
    • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
    • Demonstrated success in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Flexibility for calls outside of standard business hours is necessary.
    • Relevant experience in the medical device sector is preferred.
