As a Senior Project Engineer, your responsibilities will encompass the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit strong leadership in adherence to environmental health and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage engineering projects by effectively organizing and controlling all project components.
  • Oversee project management and capital expenditure elements, ensuring smooth transitions to Manufacturing and Operations.
  • Maintain project timelines by tracking progress, coordinating tasks, and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Identify project responsibilities by breaking down phases and elements.
  • Establish project specifications through thorough analysis of process flows and performance criteria.
  • Generate project status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends; propose actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct technical assessments and prepare cost evaluations.
  • Assist in designing facility layouts and determining personnel needs related to production and automation.
  • Contribute to the development of operational work instructions for production staff.
  • Support training initiatives for production personnel and complete necessary automation training sign-offs.
  • Compile reports to document process statuses and modifications.
  • Monitor metrics to identify improvement opportunities and oversee automation upgrades and systems.
  • Assess existing workflows for automation requirements and needs.
  • Collaborate with Automation Engineers to address installation and sustainability of automation systems.
  • Ensure work processes prioritize safety and address any safety concerns promptly.
  • Report any issues or concerns to your direct supervisor.
  • Regular attendance is required to fulfill essential job functions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, aiming to minimize conflicts.
  • Engage in the company's continuous improvement efforts in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
  • Contribute to upholding the company's standards of integrity, safety, fairness, and a positive work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing preferred; equivalent experience with an Associate's degree may be considered.
  • 4-7 years of experience in a high-tech manufacturing setting, particularly with advanced manufacturing and automation technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly grasp the scope and limitations of challenges and devise solutions that align with timing, cost, and business objectives.
  • Moderate familiarity with manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
  • Effective communication skills for conveying ideas, processes, and technical requirements through various mediums.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office for data management and report generation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to learning and performing tasks to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Working knowledge in mechanical design and automation areas.
  • Ability to work efficiently to meet established goals and standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and work ethic.
  • Capability to work under the guidance of senior personnel.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated alignment with the company's core values.
  • Team-oriented mindset, capable of influencing others positively.
  • Basic understanding of Lean, Kaizen, and Design for Manufacturing principles is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday.
  • Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to machinery, noise, and chemicals.
  • Compliance with Personal Protection Equipment requirements as per company policy is necessary.
