As a Project Engineer III, your role will encompass the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee engineering projects by effectively organizing and managing project components.

  • Develop operational instructions for production staff.

  • Prepare reports to document process statuses and modifications.
  • Analyze metrics to identify improvement opportunities and track automation enhancements.
  • Evaluate current processes for automation potential and requirements.
  • Collaborate with Automation Engineers to address installation and maintenance needs of automation systems.
  • Ensure that work processes are conducted safely and address any safety concerns promptly.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the direct Supervisor.
  • Maintain regular attendance to fulfill essential job functions during assigned work hours.
  • Keep a clean and organized workspace.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, striving to minimize conflicts.
  • Engage in the company's continuous improvement initiatives in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
  • Contribute to upholding the company's standards of integrity, safety, fairness, and a positive work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing preferred; equivalent experience with an Associate's degree may be considered.
  • 4-7 years of experience in a high-tech manufacturing setting, with a focus on advanced manufacturing and automation technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly assess the scope and constraints of challenges and devise effective solutions that align with business needs.
  • Moderate understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office for data management and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and design aspects of automation.
  • Ability to work efficiently to meet established goals and standards.
  • Proactive and hands-on approach with effective communication abilities.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Capability to work under the guidance of senior personnel.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities and effective management of multiple tasks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires a combination of standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to machinery, noise, and chemicals.
  • Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as mandated by company policy.
