As a Staff Accountant II, your key responsibilities will include:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit leadership in adhering to environmental health and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct daily banking operations and manage the distribution of the Daily Cash Position report.
  • Oversee the Fixed Asset sub-ledger, ensuring accurate tracking of all additions, disposals, and related accumulated depreciation.
  • Perform reconciliations for Prepaids, Accrued Property tax, Sales & Use tax accounts, and Accrued Utilities.
  • Manage inventory cycle counts, adjustments, and related reporting processes.
  • Track and manage all royalties owed to external parties, preparing check requests for timely processing.
  • Provide daily backup for Accounts Receivable cash application and Accounts Payable functions.
  • Assist in internal, external, and bank audits as required.
  • Support tax filings, payment submissions, insurance renewals, and policy maintenance.
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of integrity, safety, fair treatment, and a positive workplace environment.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned by the Controller, CFO, or other management personnel.
  • Participate in the company's initiatives to enhance Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 2-4 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and training to effectively perform the essential functions of the role.
  • Experience with ERP or other business systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across various departments.
  • Proficient in prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Knowledge of Cost Accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or product development context.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles related to insurance and taxes is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and address challenges while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • CPA designation preferred; candidates eligible or on track to sit for the CPA exam will be considered.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply complex accounting concepts in practice.
  • Demonstrated alignment with our core values and principles.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday.
  • Must be capable of working in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to machinery, noise, and chemicals.
  • Compliance with Personal Protection Equipment requirements as dictated by position and company policy.
