Position: Azure Cloud Solutions Architect

Compensation: $80.00/hour on W2

Eligibility: US Citizen, H1B, GC or Authorized to work - Sponsorship not available

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Location: Remote with occasional on-site requirements

Role Summary:

The Azure Cloud Solutions Architect will be instrumental in the design, deployment, and migration of systems across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms. This role demands a profound understanding of cloud services and the ability to assess new technologies for integration into existing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect, design, deploy, and manage Azure Government IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS services.
  • Hands-on implementation and maintenance of Azure Government Cloud environments, including workload migrations.
  • Oversee product/platform architectures ensuring alignment with the architectural vision.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis, design, and implementation of infrastructure and cloud data center solutions.
  • Design and support solutions in cloud and virtualized environments, with a focus on hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Effectively communicate and promote the architectural vision across teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex projects.
  • Develop a robust cloud strategy and manage its implementation.
  • Manage costs associated with Azure Government services and establish a tagging strategy for cloud resources.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in core Microsoft technologies, including Windows and SQL.
Technical Skills:

Experience in designing, building, upgrading, and decommissioning various Windows and Linux systems, including:

  • Active Directory (Azure AD)
  • Azure Storage (Blob, Files, Disks)
  • App Services
  • BCDR (Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery)
  • Networking (vNets, Subnets)
  • Virtual Machines
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Microsoft Azure Certification in specialized areas is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public/Government cloud solutions, focusing on Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including IP subnetting and security protocols.
  • Experience with Azure CLI, PowerShell, and ARM Templates.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and cloud monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure-As-Code practices and scripting languages.
