Position Overview

We are seeking a Azure Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team on a HYBRID work arrangement. This role is essential for our federal client, focusing on the design, deployment, and migration of systems across various cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in selecting and implementing cloud services tailored to specific requirements and constraints. You will leverage your expertise to evaluate emerging technologies and their integration into existing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design, implement, and manage Azure Government IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
  2. Take a hands-on approach to establish and maintain the Azure Government Cloud tenant, including migrating workloads from on-premises environments.
  3. Oversee product and platform architectures, ensuring all projects align with the architectural vision.
  4. Conduct thorough analysis and implementation of infrastructure and cloud data center solutions, covering computing, networking, routing, and security.
  5. Support and design solutions within cloud and virtualized environments, with a focus on hybrid cloud architectures.
  6. Effectively communicate and promote the architectural vision across various teams.
  7. Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex projects.
  8. Develop a comprehensive cloud strategy and manage its implementation.
  9. Manage costs associated with Azure Government services and implement a tagging strategy for cloud resources.
  10. Demonstrate proficiency in core Microsoft technologies, including Windows, Windows Server, Active Directory, and SQL.
  11. Design, build, upgrade, and decommission Windows and Linux systems, including:
    1. Active Directory (Azure AD)
    2. Azure Storage (Blob, Files, Disks)
    3. App Services
    4. BCDR (Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery)
    5. Networking (vNets, Subnets)
    6. Virtual Machines
  12. Collaborate with third-party suppliers to ensure timely issue resolution.
  13. Create comprehensive documentation for diverse audiences, showcasing creativity and innovation in a dynamic environment.
  14. Possess knowledge of RESTful APIs, Web Services, XML, and JSON.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  2. At least 10 years of relevant work experience, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  3. Microsoft Azure Certification in specialized areas is required.
  4. ITIL V4 Certification is preferred.
  5. Agile SaFe/Scrum Master Certification is preferred.
  6. A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and maintaining public cloud solutions, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
  7. Strong background in IT administration and engineering services for Windows and Linux servers.
  8. Excellent technical architecture skills with experience in migrating applications to Azure.
  9. Expertise in Azure CLI PowerShell, ARM Templates, and Azure Networking.
  10. Intermediate knowledge of Azure DevOps and Azure Security Center.
  11. Experience with cloud monitoring tools such as Azure Log Analytics and Azure Monitor.
  12. Familiarity with DevOps practices, including Infrastructure-As-Code (IAC) and CI/CD.
  13. Knowledge of security policies and cloud security services.
  14. Experience with IaC tools like Terraform and/or Ansible.
  15. Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  16. Experience with relational databases, particularly MS SQL.
