Job Title: Grants Support Specialist

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Grants Support Specialist to join its Resident Initiatives team. This dynamic role will be responsible for researching and identifying grant opportunities, preparing grant applications, and managing grant-related post-award functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research public and private grant opportunities to identify new philanthropic opportunities
  • Prepare grant applications, including writing and editing grant proposals, budgets, and other supporting documents
  • Manage grant-related post-award functions, including expense analysis, grant tracking, and closeout functions
  • Coordinate with NYCHA RSPI program staff and community-based organization (CBO) partners to serve as a main grant writer on applications

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities
  • High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community-centered activities
  • Excellent writing, editing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
