The role of Facilities Maintenance Manager at The High Companies is responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of maintenance staff in the continuous upkeep of all operational equipment. Through effective leadership, the Facilities Maintenance Manager ensures that all machinery is consistently serviced and that any malfunctions are addressed promptly and economically, fostering a safe and efficient work environment.

*** This position requires the Facilities Maintenance Manager to dedicate at least 75% of their time on-site, ensuring the maintenance of machinery and production tools through scheduled preventative maintenance and other necessary actions.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate the following credentials:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Formal training in supervisory or management roles is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance environment, particularly with processing equipment, is highly desirable.
  • Proven skills in electrical, mechanical, and overhead crane maintenance are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with PLC-based control systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheet software, SAP, and other business applications is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentors and develops maintenance personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high standards of work. This includes formal evaluations and necessary corrective actions.
  • Analyzes business data related to maintenance and repair costs, making informed decisions to manage operational expenses effectively.
  • Ensures that all equipment utilized by The High Companies is maintained in optimal condition, involving maintenance staff in continuous improvement initiatives and ongoing training.
  • Collaborates with other supervisory team members to guarantee adequate leadership coverage across all operational hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Enforces company policies and complies with all applicable regulations regarding safety, quality, and workplace standards. Responsible for investigating accidents and preventing workplace injuries.
  • Conducts regular one-on-one meetings, team gatherings, and performance assessments for all team members.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation related to employee status and compliance with regulations.
  • Participates in the recruitment and selection process for new maintenance department personnel.
  • Effectively implements the Continuous Improvement Process.
