Position Summary: We are looking for a Maintenance Associate to join our team at a Garden Style property on a full-time basis. The Maintenance Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our company objectives are met through various responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness of grounds by collecting trash, debris, and light vegetation from all common areas, including amenities, building exteriors, and parking lots.
  • Assist the onsite maintenance team with minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
  • Ensure the entrance and surrounding areas are clutter-free at all times.
  • Run errands as directed by management.
  • Address minor technical issues, such as changing light bulbs.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning of rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other areas.
  • Wash windows, dust furniture, and polish surfaces as needed.
  • Empty waste receptacles and maintain cleanliness of ashtrays throughout the property.
  • Coordinate with technicians for maintenance tasks beyond the scope of the groundskeeper.
  • Prepare units for leasing by performing cleanouts.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the property manager.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and organizational abilities.
  • Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Experience operating various tools and equipment, including power tools and heavy machinery.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Flexibility to travel between properties as needed.

Work Environment: The role involves active movement around the property, visiting different work locations regularly.

Safety Standards: Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment is essential.

Physical Requirements: Responsibilities include lifting materials, installing items, and managing large trash and furniture.

Tools and Equipment: Utilization of hand tools, ladders, yard maintenance equipment, and cleaning products is required.

Work Schedule:

  • Employees will work five days a week as scheduled by their supervisor.
  • Participation in after-hours service rotations may be required.
  • Weekend work may also be part of the schedule.
