Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Entry Specialist to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the revenue cycle by performing moderately complex tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit work for accuracy and balance against controls, correcting mistakes as needed.
  • Input and correct patient demographic information in the system.
  • Assign financial classifications to patient accounts.
  • Audit and resolve Enterprise EHR tasks, communicating with site designees.
  • Research and input all interface fatal errors to ensure complete and correct input of encounter data.
  • Resolve Transaction Editing System (TES) edits, including missing information edits.
  • Participate in the implementation of new systems and functionalities.
  • Review and report discrepancies in system design or setup.
  • Perform routine testing to keep department applications functioning.
  • Escalate issues that lie outside of required completion dates to appropriate levels of management.
  • Serve as a Team Leader on projects as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma / GED or equivalent experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 1+ years of Data Entry experience.
  • Ability to work full time, Monday - Friday, with flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during normal business hours of 6am - 6pm.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of medical billing or related job experience.
  • GE Centricity Business experience.
