Financial Operations Specialist

Inaba Foods (USA) Inc. is seeking a dedicated Financial Operations Specialist to manage a range of financial tasks that support our diverse office locations across multiple states.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute data entry and organization tasks for accounts payable, purchase orders, and inventory management.
  • Review expense reports and invoices for accuracy and compliance with payment criteria.
  • Perform reconciliations of accounts payable, receivables, and general ledger with related records.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, verify deposits, and respond to bank inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases for tax preparation and audits.
  • Ensure collection of employer identification numbers from all vendors for 1099 preparation.
  • Assist in the timely preparation of budget reports and purchasing records.
  • Code invoices, establish new accounts, reconcile accounts, and finalize monthly financial statements.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards while representing the organization professionally.
  • Conduct research as needed to support various projects or inquiries.
  • Coordinate and arrange travel as required.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and office settings.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • High proficiency in accounting software applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar software.
  • Excellent typing and 10-key data entry skills.
  • Willingness to commute to the office.

  • Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks, and other relevant software.
  • Understanding of accounting systems and processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective customer service and communication skills for interaction with various teams and management.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement in accounting processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment dealing with consumer packaged goods.
  • A positive and proactive mindset.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Experience in implementing software systems is advantageous.
