Strategic Fundraising Leader for Community Development

The Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development (CNHED) is seeking a seasoned professional to drive its philanthropic and government funding efforts.

The Vice President for Development will collaborate with the President/CEO to develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan, expand CNHED's funding sources, and strengthen the organization's sustainability.

CNHED is a dynamic, member-driven association advancing community development solutions to address the needs and aspirations of low- and moderate-income District residents.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the President/CEO to establish a sustainable fundraising strategy
  • Prospecting for new funding sources and sponsorships
  • Developing and managing key funding relationships
  • Tracking and submitting grant and contract reports

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to social, economic, and racial justice, excellent writing and presentation skills, and the ability to think strategically and manage multiple deadlines.
