About the Role

The Chief Advancement Officer will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive advancement strategy to drive growth, engagement, and fundraising efforts. This includes leading the Advancement team, managing the budget, and overseeing communication, brand, and marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Advancement team to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive advancement strategy, including fundraising, partnerships, and marketing efforts.
  • Manage the Advancement budget and oversee financial planning and reporting.
  • Lead communication, brand, and marketing efforts to promote KIPP DC's mission and values.
  • Collaborate with the President and other senior leaders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Requirements and Preferences
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in development, fundraising, communications, and/or marketing.
  • At least 7 years of experience managing people and teams.
  • Experience leading fundraising campaigns with an annual target of at least $5 million.
  • Experience managing communications and/or marketing.
Benefits and Compensation

KIPP DC offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including a salary range of $180,445-$222,902, a 403(b) retirement account with a 3% employer contribution and a 3% match with vesting after three years, and a robust benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurances.
